This blog is for thinking parents, and fans of the best Q&A site for parents

About the Project

Like most new parents, when Steve and Andrea Lacy were raising their first child, they had questions—and plenty of them. Being tech-savvy residents of Silicon Valley—Steve is a software engineer, Andrea an interaction designer—they turned to the Web and found a vocal community of parents like them, looking for fresh perspectives on raising their children. The only problem: it was all for moms by moms or, worse yet, “experts” to “idiots”.

This got them thinking, there really ought to be a single place to get quick and thoughtful answers to parenting questions – one that welcomes dads as first-class parents, one that treats experienced parents like the experts they are.

And so the Parents Guild was born. It’s a parenting Q and A site fueled by a diverse community that offers thoughtful perspectives on topics like pregnancy, health, child development and behavior, education, family, food, and products.

If you’re still interested in knowing more, find out why we named it Parents Guild. And, if you haven’t yet, check out the site itself!
