DIY Play Kitchen

Check this out! Estelle, a friend and fantastic contributor to Parents Guild, was inspired by one of the questions about play kitchens and proceeded to build one for her own kids using an Ikea coffee table, a pan (for the sink), and more… She describes its creation on her amazing blog – My French Cuisine. Just launched: New ads, Amazon-style.

We’re continuing to experiment with ads. So far, we’re finding that Google AdSense makes almost no sense (nor cents), and that Amazon, with the same itsy-bitsy number of clickthroughs gives an order of magnitude greater return. (Wait, wait, you say… what’s an order of magnitude greater than 0? But never mind that.) So, today, you’ll [...]

Any suggestions for how to teach a young child to brush teeth properly? We have been introducing brushing teeth as a part of the night time routine, and it’s mostly fun. But she likes to chew on the brush more than brush. (Click here to read more & answer!)

Just launched: “Me” gets a facelift

In addition to scores, this latest launch includes new, tidy-er signature boxes (look at the text staying *inside* the text box! :) and a brand new “me” section of the site. Before, the “me” section included a laundry list of all your activity on the site to-date.  That’s still there, but now it’s found under [...]

Just launched: Scores all around!

We know what you were thinking… sure, the site is great and there’s some useful answers and all, but what it really needs is more numbers(!), more metrics and a little bit of friendly competition. Well, maybe you weren’t thinking that exactly. But we think we hope it’s a really good idea and we’d like [...]
